from attending this class, i have learnt a lot of things that we can do by using the computer for children. for instance, we can use the Powerpoint to make children's learning more fun and interactive. we can make it more interesting for children but it must be thought together using hands-on. children cannot learn using computer alone. by doing so, they might not be able to feel and see the things and objects in real life.

after all is said, i find it hard to implement it in the kindergarten because now a days, children are exposed to computer games. therefore, children's mindset are influenced by the games that they play. also, some parents might not want their children to use the computer because they are concerned about their children such as their eye sight or posture.

in the end, by using computers, we can make the lesson more interesting and interactive for the children but parents must know what we teach the children and also how children can learn better by using the computer.

after attending this class for a few times, i realize that technology plays a major role in not only adults now a days but for children as well. as technology continues to develop, the age to start using a computer is getting younger and younger. therefore, it is important for early childhood teachers to educate themselves in the area of technology.

we should start to improve in our knowledge in order to teach the children the right way to use computers. we should encourage children to use computer wisely. for example, to use the computer for just a few hours and not sit in front of it for the whole day.

there are many things that we can use the computer for but it is often misused. which is way most parents are rather reluctant to let their children start using computer. therefore, we, as teachers, must let the parents know about why and what we are teaching their children about.

this is my first post for my assignment and honestly i have no idea what to write.

let me start by saying that when i first started this technology class, i was wondering what will we be learning for this class. actually, when i was studying in homeschooling, we had a subject like this, where we learn about all the Microsoft software and even the Internet Explorer. however, i do not even remember a thing.

so this is a good reminder and a refresher of memory.

i chose this course because i have an interest in children. i believe that we should start teaching children about values and the viewpoints of life at a young age. at this age, we are able to influence them more effectively compared to older children who are more exposed to the world.
